UMG settles ‘Republic’ lawsuit against investment platform
Dec 16 (Reuters) – Universal Music Group (UMG.AS), opens new tab has resolved a trademark lawsuit that claimed investment platform Republic and blockchain platform Opulous’ use of the “Republic” name caused consumer confusion with UMG’s sub-label Republic Records, according to a filing in New York federal court.
